Music - With Lyrics

One Dance (I'm singing, though Jim sings it live) post 9/11 Jim & I wrote 5 songs that are “sort of” related to 9/11.  This is the first of the 5, and though it doesn’t say anything about 9/11 (only 1 does, and that obliquely), this song is about taking advantage of opportunities while they are there, because tomorrow holds no guarantees.  One of the truths that 9/11 drove home to us
Here I Am Sort of like the idea of Tom Joad’s speech to his Mom before leaving camp (in Grapes Of Wrath).  Certainly not as verbose or eloquent though!
Oh Child! A rocker.  Many of our songs have a similar message – life is short, reach out and grab it (time wasted is time lost), and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.  Rough recording.  Can't wait to do this right.

Music - Instrumentals

Peaceful Night  Many times we’ll end a night with this.  A simple, hopefully peaceful little ditty.
Acid Jazz  Techno/House music with the often, missing ingredient for that style – an electric guitar
Downhill  Written after learning to ski (at 46 yrs old!) – I thought the music was reminiscent of the feeling of stretching ones limits and nearly careening out of control.  The first minute or so is the anxiousness of the lift ride up, the rest is the ski down.
